Welcome 2 my own corner of hte internet!

Here I will cover the old and covered up "Conspiracy" that the GOVERNMENT has been hiding from us since the 60's. I'm not talking about UFOs or skinwalkers, instead I will be discussing Living Lichen

What is Living Lichen?

Living Lichen comes in various forms, but the most prevelant and widely known form of Living Lichen is the form of Usnea Inmortui, which is prevelant in the ancient forests of the Pacific Northwest. Living Lichen like the Inmortui live as common lichen and are often mistaken for other, more common forms of lichen.

Living Lichen differ from common lichen by growing inside the deceased, and using bioelectricity to stimulate the being's nervous system to walk again. From there, the lichen can use its host to plant its offspring in a wider area, or use its host to kill another potential host. Some varieties are said to even resurrect the deceased, but with no control over their own bodies, surviving only through the lichen.
It is not currently known, due to Government censorship, how Living Lichen came to be. There are a few theories, however.

  • 1. Cold War era experimentation on lichens which were supposed to be a WMD in disguise. Mosses in the Pacific Northwest region mimic the same mosses found in the Sakhalin area in then USSR, now Russia. Cold War scientists attempted to create a lichen that would be extremely hazardous to Soviet plants and wildlife, slowly killing the land. This would have been performed by growing generations of lichen inside microbial fuel cells (MFCs) that would generate electricity from the plant. This in turn would cause the lichen to produce its own electromagnetic field over generations of growth. However, they would begin to act like nerves inside the host plant, stimulating its own growth, creating an opposite effect. Its spores would escape the laboratories it was grown in, and spread to the outside world.

  • 2. The Lichen spores were frozen in ice caps in Antarctica. Unbeknownst to scientists, they would bring these spores back to the mainland, where they would begin to spread.

  • 3. Aliens.

How to defend against Living Lichen

Living Lichen survive in dense woodland with numerous lichenous growth and frequent rainfall. Infested beings can survive up to a month if the lichen parasite is kept in adequate condition, and up to a year if the lichen is replenished by more lichen from newer growth. The first line of defense against Living Lichen is to NEVER touch or handle moss, lichen, or algae you suspect to be Living Lichen. Its spores may remain with you and come into contact with food you eat or any orifaces you touch on yourself or another person. Spores of a Living Lichen can be deadly if enough is ingested or inhaled.
When faced against an infested being, such as a person or animal, ordinary 12 gauge double-aught buckshot may not be your best choice. Instead, it is recommended you opt for a 10 gauge shotgun, using handloaded shells filled with magnesium pellets and ordinary buckshot. The buckshot injures/disables the host body, and the magnesium in the shell will burn the lichen. The extra power from the 10 gauge is insurance. It is NOT recommended to engage in melee or hand-to-hand combat with an infested body, they WILL overpower you.
If spores are ingested or inhaled, you will begin to feel the side effects of the lichen taking over. These can thankfully be counteracted with broad spectrum antibiotics, but they should be taken consistently and early on in the infection's lifetime. Symptoms of Living Lichen infection include:
  • Blisters on the skin
  • Lung infection (Difficulty breathing, burning feeling in lungs)
  • Paranoia
  • Hypergraphia
  • Hallucination
  • Involuntary limb movement
  • Lichenous growths appearing on skin
